The Crowns of courage halo wig

A Crowns of Courage halo wig is very different from a traditional wig. It's made from real hair!  The hair is attached to a soft breathable cap, allowing it to be super comfortable.  It's not itchy or hot and it looks incredibly real.  The wig can be worn with any hat, beanie, or scarf that can be changed out at any time!

The patient can use their own hair or we have hair that has been donated. Our hope is that these halo wigs give children the strength, courage, and confidence to keep fighting their battles!

Meet our wig designer

Lisa Rokicki is originally from Buffalo NY.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Fredonia.  Shortly after graduating Lisa received her cosmetology license and began working with wigs and makeup for regional theatre in Buffalo.  In 2008 she made the long trip across the country to Denver, CO where she started the bulk of her wig making career.  She has built many full wigs one hair at a time for various opera and theatre productions in Denver, Chicago and Kansas City.   Her career path took a turn when she moved to Phoenix in 2014 and started working in a local wig shop, mainly with cancer patients.  Lisa has found a new passion for helping cancer patients deal with hair loss due to chemotherapy and is now the cosmetologist for the Mayo Clinic Boutique located in the new Mayo Clinic Cancer Center.  In her free time, Lisa loves taking her puggle Rocco on long walks on the golf course, hiking, listening to live bands and trying new restaurants around town.  Crowns of Courage wouldn't be possible without Lisa's hard work, talent, and dedication.  She's simply amazing!
